In the Children’s Department, we believe that the mission of the Ministry is to partner with parents and the church family to build a Biblical foundation so a child will learn to build their lives in Christ.Our current schedule includes: Sundays 9:00 a.m. Sunday School/Gospel Project (grades K - 6) 10:30 a.m. Gospel Project 2 (grades K-2) 10:30 a.m. Grades 3 - 6 attend Worship with Parents 6:00 p.m. Growing in Grace - choir Wednesdays 6:00 p.m. Awana 6:00 p.m. during Summer - Children in Action (CIA) SECURITYWe know as parents, your greatest concern as you drop your children off at church, is their safety. We have taken several measures to ensure your children are safe, secure, and enjoying their time here. Sign in sheets, as well as a computer-based check-in will be used.We have adopted and put into place several policies concerning who may work with the children. One of them is that all children’s volunteers must go through a national criminal background check. If there is any doubt of a person’ reliability or trust, they are not permitted to work with the nursery, children's ministry, or youth ministry. Our goal is your children's safety when they attend church.
First Baptist offers Children’s Sunday morning classes for grades K - 6 at 9:00 a.m. The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered Bible study that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—pre-creation to eternity, showing how Christ fits into the entire gospel story, and where each one of us fits into it too. It presents the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities, and more.
Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m., Gospel Project 2- an enhanced hour
of Gospel Project bible lesson featuring songs, large group games and
activities for grades K-2. Children (grades 3-6) will join their parents in
the Sanctuary for a time of family worship to encourage and promote
AWANA meets on Wednesdays, 6:00 p.m, for children, Preschool thru Grade 6. Awana offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs and exciting games attract families, promote Bible literacy and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ. Children in Action is an approach that encourages total church missions involvement for children. CIA will help them develop a Biblical worldview, develop leadership skills to serve God and share His love to others, and grow spiritually in their understanding of God and His mission.Sunday Night activities for grades K - 6 include music in Growing in Grace. In choir, children are taught music reading and will sing frequently in church as well as special holiday programs. (may include Veteran’s Day, Christmas, Easter, etc...)
